PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grilling device which can reduce the consumption of energy in the heating cooking by causing neither uneven heating of cooking materials nor worsened ignitability. SOLUTION: The grilling device is provided with a grilling storage for housing the cooking materials, a burner for heating within the grilling storage, a far infrared ray radiation means which is provided within the grilling storage and accumulates the heat radiated from the burner to radiate far infrared rays and a heating control means. The heating control means executes an 'intermittent heating operation' as follows: the burner is ignited at STEP1 to start the heating of the cooking materials; the burner is extinguished at STEP3 after the temperature within the grilling storage exceeds 120°C at STEP2, when 2 min passes thereafter; the burner is ignited at STEP6 and when another 2 min passes after the ignition of the burner at STEP6 while the temperature within the storage exceeds 120°C at STEP9; the burner is extinguished at STEP3; and this process is repeated.
