PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for forming a fire limit area using a heat-shielding sheet which forms a fire limit area within a building by using a heat-shielding sheet capable of being wound and stored. SOLUTION: The heat shielding sheet 2 for blocking an opening of a building, such as a passage or the like, blocks the opening by means of an opening/closing mechanism 3. The opening/closing mechanism 3 has a turning shaft 6 for holding the heat-shielding sheet 2 in a wound state. The opening/closing mechanism delivers the heat-shielding sheet 2 from the turning shaft 6 using tension of linear members 7 stretched between upper and lower pulleys 8 and 9 and moves side edge sections 2E and 2E in the upper and lower directions along guide rails 10 of pillar-like frames 4. By doing so, a noninflammable floor-touching member 2T on the lower edge section of the heat-shielding sheet abuts the floor. When blocking the opening using the heat-shielding sheet 2, a pressing member 11 arranged in the pillar-like frame 4 presses the heat-shielding sheet 2 against an end side of a surface of an opening of the pillar-like frame 4 that leads to the guide rail 10.
