PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a direct pattern forming waterless planographic printing plate having high sensitivity and good image reproducibility and keeping a heat sensitive layer remaining even after development. SOLUTION: The objective method for producing the direct pattern forming waterless planographic printing plate with at least a heat sensitive layer and an ink-repellent layer in this order on a board includes a first step for imagewise irradiating an original plate with laser beam, a second step for processing the irradiated original plate with a processing solution and a third step for removing an ink-repellent layer in the irradiated part in this order and the processing solution contains (a) water and (b) a hydrophilic compound.
