PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of taking time for setting, in cases where a main body is installed, for example, in a high position, because various settings such as channel setting and timer setting are to be performed by the setup keys of the main body, etc., in a conventional teletext broadcasting receiving display device. SOLUTION: The various settings such as the channel setting and the timer setting are performed by wireless by using a remote control transmitter 2 separate from the main body 1 having a display part 17. Even when installing the main body in the high position which a hand cannot reach easily, setting operations can be performed easily. Besides, when outputting display relating to setting processing on a fluorescence display unit 17 at the time of the setting operations using the remote control transmitter 2, a user can perform the setting operation with certainty by confirming the content of the setting each time. Furthermore, if it is so arranged that all setting operations are performed only by the remote control transmitter 2 without providing the setup keys, etc., in the main body, unnecessary setting changes by general people can be prevented even in cases where the main body is installed in the position which the hand can reach in a public location.
