<p>This invention relates to a reciprocating internal combustion engine with a cam groove-connecting rod type transmission mechanism. This mechanism is constructed of a unit of a drive shaft (3) and a plurality of cam groove plates (4) integrally attached to the drive shaft (3), a small end of the connecting rod (7) is linked to a piston (2) by a piston pin (6) and is guided by piston pin (6) itself, a big end of the connecting rod (7) is formed with an elongated slot (8) clasped the drive shaft (3) and is guided by this driveshaft (3), the connecting rod (7) is linked to the cam grooves (5) by a connecting rod pin (9). With this arrangement, back and forth movement of the piston is changed the rotation of the drive shaft (3)unit by means of the connection of the connecting rod pin (9) and the cam grooves (5) and on the contrary. The number of times for generating the power for each rotation, the volume of the cylinder at the initial and finished times of each of the strokes, the acceleration, the speed of the piston (2) at any time of the cycle is completely determined by a profile and shape of the cam grooves (5).</p> |
