PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telecommunication terminal which makes appropriate communication channels selectable suitably in response to the context of line quality that a user's intent and a telecommunication terminal are placed. SOLUTION: If a TV telephone application is started, a user selects a circuit switching system or a packet system. To execute a transmission with an informed communication channel, an operation control section informs the classification of the communication channel to a transceiver. The selected communication channel is reported to the user using an LED, a liquid crystal display, etc. The operation control section informs by a specified communication channel to the transceiver so that it may operate according to each communication channel. For example, when the packet switching system is selected, an initial setting or the like required when circuit switching is performed is reported to the transceiver.
