PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically acquire remote control codes per maker of household electric appliances to remotely operate a plurality of household electric appliances within a house by one remote controller. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 acquires a remote control code of an electric appliance maker being an operation object, from a site via the Internet and transmits a command corresponding to the acquired remote control code to a remote control station 4 by an electric wave radio signal RF. Next, the remote control station 4 decodes the acquired command and transmits the command converted to an infrared signal IR, to a TV 5. Thus power-on or switching to a desired channel of the TV 5 is performed in accordance with the received command. When the mobile phone 1 acquires other remote control code and transmits it to the remote control station 4, an air conditioner 6 corresponding to the remote control code is remotely operated.
