<p>A mobile radio communications network is disclosed in which zones may be defined for provision of location based services and applications. Various methods are also disclosed for using the defined zones in different ways for different applications. The methods include associating users with zones, updating users of zones with changes to the zones, controlling zone size and dynamically uploading zone profiles to users based on the user's geographical location.</p>
