<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display and its adjusting method that can adjust the brightness variations of the images displayed on a display, such as an LCD monitor. <P>SOLUTION: The display 1 selects a first table corresponding to the received gradation value (S3), sets up the target brightness value based on the brightness value of each screen area recorded on the first table (S4), extracts the brightness value of each screen area corresponding to the gradation value from the first table (S5), calculates a brightness value correction amount to make the extracted brightness value equal to the target brightness value (S6), selects the second table for each screen area based on the brightness value correction amount (S7), extracts the relations between the gradation values and correction coefficients respectively from the second table (S8), calculates the gradation value corrected based on the gradation value and the brightness correction amount corrected by the correction coefficient correlated to the gradation value (S9), and displays the images of the brightness value based on the corrected gradation value in each area of the screen (S10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
