Multiple valve stages control and adjust partial pressure from a hydraulic pump (2) to a damper clutch. A regulator valve (4) adjusts the hydraulic pressure to a predetermined level. The regulator valve has two valve spools which are housed within a sleeve and coaxially inserted into the main body of the regulator valve. A coil spring is interposed between the valve spools. A torque converter control valve adjusts the partial pressure from the regulator valve. A damper clutch valve receives and feed the adjusted pressure to a damper clutch. A solenoid valve controls the damper clutch valve. A reducing valve lessen partial pressure from the regulator valve and supplies the reduced pressure to the damper clutch control valve. A manual valve supplies hydraulic pressure to friction components via hydraulic pressure controller and distribution unit by the driver's operation.
