<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively carry out individual confirmation in regard to operation allowing transaction to only an individual such as a pension allowance. <P>SOLUTION: A fingerprint scanner 7 is provided in the automatic transaction device 1. When a user 2 inputs a card 9, finger vein data stored in the card is read before or after individual confirmation by a password number, and it is collated with finger vein data of the user 2.
