PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to execute a series of design work of an optical communication channel in the form of interacting with the system and to enable even a person inexperienced in the design of the optical communication channel to design an optimum optical communication channel with excellent reproducibility without depending on a person experienced in the design. SOLUTION: The processor for processing information relating to the design of the optical communication channel comprises a keyboard 11 or a mouse 12 for inputting a design condition to a program relating to the design of the optical communication channel, and a CPU 55 for comparing a condition for advancing to the next program with the design condition input by the keyboard 11 or the mouse 12, discriminating whether the design condition is appropriate or inappropriate, advancing to the next program when the design condition is appropriate on the basis of a discriminated result and instructing the correction or revision of the design condition when the design condition is inappropriate.
