PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a structure of a high-gain coil antenna that can be easily mounted into a portable electronic device, and the portable electronic device comprising the same. SOLUTION: A magnetic substance core 1 comprises a flange part 11, a coil member inserting part 12a and a substrate inserting part 12a, the magnetic substance core 1 is inserted into a coil member 4 comprising coil member side spring terminals 41a, 41b, and the magnetic substance core 1 is inserted into an opening 53 formed on a substrate 5, so that the coil member side spring terminals 41a, 41b are connected to substrate side terminals 51a, 51b. Thus, magnetic flux that tries to pass through cases 6, 7 in the direction of thickness is transmitted through the magnetic substance core 1 and operates as a coil antenna.
