PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shut-off valve substantializing high hermetic sealing reliability and at the same time, economical efficiency with simple structure. SOLUTION: In the shut-off valve for controlling the opening of a valve seat 8 by a motor-driven valve element 9, a motor 1 has a stator 3 arranged on the outside of a cylindrical casing 2, and a rotor 4 on the inside of the cylindrical casing 2. The stator 3 is composed by holding a bobbin 12 having a coil 11 wound therearound by a pair of claw pole-type yokes 13a, 13b, and a protrusion reaching a virtual circular line connecting the claw pole inner faces is provided on the inner periphery of the yokes 13a, 13b and between proximal ends of the adjacent claw poles. A seal member 19 is held by brackets 6 arranged on the outer periphery of the casing 2, on a thrust face of the front yoke 13a, and at the front of a stator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
