PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven compressor for improving lubricity of the bearing of a shaft. SOLUTION: A gas compression part 19, an electric motor 35 and the shaft 31 for transmitting driving force of the motor to the gas compression part are built in a sealed vessel 15. The sealed vessel is provided with a cylindrical boss part 33 for supporting one end of the shaft via the bearing 34.
