PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel filter wherein a water retaining function in a water reservoir is increased and production cost is reduced, while adapting the filter to environmental measures. SOLUTION: This diesel filter comprises a filter member 50 formed of a case 30, a cap 40 closing the opening of the case, an element 51, and an element holding member 52 holding the upper part of the element and detachably stored in the case and the water reservoir 62 formed under the filter member. The element holding member 52 comprises the opening 59 for flowing out a fuel. When the opening is closed by the cap, the filter member and the other member are sealed only at the opening. The fuel introduced from the inlet of the fuel to the upper part of the element holding member 52 is introduced into the water reservoir 62 via a passage between the inner peripheral surface of the case and the outer peripheral surface of the element.
