PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the parts for a nonferrous metal casting device in erosion resistance to molten nonferrous metal. SOLUTION: The parts are made of Co-based alloy, which is, by weight, composed of 20-30% Cr, 10-25% Mo, 0.5-2% B, and the balance Co with inevitable impurities, and a nitride layer having a Hv hardness≥600 is formed on the surface of the parts that comes into contact with the nonferrous metal. The parts can optionally contain 0.01-2% C and/or 0.1-2% Si. The parts are allowed to contain, in total,≤4% Fe and/or Ni. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
