PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rest bar device capable of simplifying a preparation work before the rolling, and enhancing the space efficiency of the installation. SOLUTION: In the rest bar device, a slide base 7 for holding a guide device G is mounted in a longitudinally movable manner on an upper part of a saddle 2 movably mounted on a rest bar 1, a base cylinder 32 is provided on the saddle 2, and a cotter 38 is connected to a rod 32a of the base cylinder. A clamp bracket 34 of an interlocking part 33 is mounted on a lower part of the slide base 7, the cotter 38 is inserted in a working hole 36a of a clamp pin 36 in the clamp bracket 34, and the clamp pin 36 elevates/lowers a clamp plate 35 capable of fixing the guide device. The base cylinder 32 can control the fixing and the unfixing of the guide device by the elevating/lowering of the clamp plate via the cotter 38 and the working hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
