PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a water insoluble component from a water soluble component with large amount, low cost and good accuracy in a biological material, and to provide a filter on which a separated and refined material obtained in this way is added to get a function. SOLUTION: The water insoluble component in the biological material is coagulated and precipitated by a flocculant. An organic flocculant and/or an inorganic flocculant are used as the flocculant, wherein its constituent weight ratio(the organic flocculant:the inorganic flocculant) is preferably 1:10-1:200, polyoxyethylene alkylether and/or polyacrylamide are preferably used as the organic flocculant, and a bentonite is preferably used as the inorganic flocculant.
