PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent a massaged person from sinking and to securely prevent such malfunction as catching of a sinking preventive belt at a massaging element by a simple and inexpensive structure using the sinking preventing belt. SOLUTION: The chair type massage machine has a movable block 7 with massaging elements 20 disposed in a moving space S opened in the front inside a cover 5 of a backrest part 2 in such a way as movable in the vertical direction. The chair type massage machine also comprises the sinking preventive belt 13 stretched in the vertical direction astride the movable block 7 in the moving space S in front of the movable block, and a guide part 14, located on the front side of the movable block 7, with an insertion hole into which the sinking preventive belt 13 is inserted.
