[PROBLEMS] To provide a high precision screen printing method by which correction for suppressing uneven distortion along print direction can be performed in the plane of a print pattern, and to provide a screen printer for use therein. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Distortion of a print pattern which is printed on a printing matter (4) is corrected by causing a slip between the surface of a print table (5) and the surface of a print mask (3) and then regulating the slip. Slip is regulated, when a squeegee (7) is slid, by varying the rotational speed of the print table (5) such that the slip increases gradually from the slide starting side toward the slide ending side. The screen printer comprises a means for measuring the relationship between a scheduled print position becoming a reference and an actual print position, a means for operating the deviation from the reference position based on the measured relative positional relationship and determining a correction amount of slip between the surface of the print table and the surface of the print mask based on that value, and a means for controlling slip between them based on the correction amount.
