<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound-eye imaging apparatus capable of greatly changing the frame rate of an image displayed on a display means without causing the problem of an increase in power consumption or the like so as to easily obtain a high frame rate. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of ommatidium images picked up by a light receiving element array are sequentially read via a microprocessor 8 and sent to a reconfiguration processing circuit 16 via a motion detection circuit 11. One image reconfigured by the reconfiguration processing circuit 16 is displayed on a display device (display means) 15. When the motion detection circuit 11 detects a motion in the image, a mode switching signal is output via a mode switching circuit 12 so that the mode is switched from a full read mode wherein all the ommatidium images are read into a one-read mode wherein one ommatidium image is read. Since a typical ommatidium image among the ommatidium images is repetitively read in the one-read mode, the frame rate of the image displayed on the display device 15 can be set higher than that of the full read mode even when the read speed is the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
