IN-IC-CARD AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometrics, authentication system that ensures high security for in-IC-card authentication.

SOLUTION: An in-IC-card authentication method for implementing a biometric process using an authentication program in a portable electronic device (IC card) is implemented. A biometrics authentication control method includes: receiving from the portable electronic device preprocess data derived from biological information; transmitting the preprocess data to a biometric mechanism part; receiving from the biometric mechanism part authentication data created by combining the biological information obtained from the biometric mechanism part with the preprocess data; transmitting the received authentication data to the portable electronic device; and collating registration data previously registered in the portable electronic device with the authentication data inside the portable electronic device.
