摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a display device which writes a current signal as a video signal to perform excellent display with pixels in a row selected first in an effective scanning period without depending upon a scanning direction. <P>SOLUTION: The display device in which each pixel PX includes a driving circuit and a display element OLED performs a writing operation wherein a video signal is written to the driving circuit in each selection period while a current source CS1 and the driving circuit are connected through a video signal line DL, performs a display operation wherein a driving current is supplied to the display element OLED in each non-selection period while the driving circuit and a pixel electrode are connected, and performs a precharging operation wherein a precharging signal is written to the video signal line DL in a blanking period while a current source CS2 and the video signal line DL are connected. The precharging signal is made larger when the scanning direction of a scanning signal line SL1 approaches the connection position between the video signal line DL and current source CS2 than when the scanning direction moves away from the connection position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
