PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system with which proper power control can be executed as a whole system. SOLUTION: In the digital camera system 10 whose lenses can be exchangeable, a lens unit 20 activated by receiving supply of power from a lens use battery 26 and a camera body 30 activated by receiving supply of power from a body use battery 58 exchange information associated with the power supply with each other.
