PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure contact terminal capable of providing stable electrical connection to a covered wire. SOLUTION: This pressure contact terminal 10 includes: wire crimp parts 15, in its side plate parts 13, 13, including two pairs of wire crimp blades 14, 14, 14, 14 cut and raised inward from the respective side plate parts 13, 13; a wire lifting piece 16 cut and raised inward from one of the side plate parts 13, 13; and a pair of wire fastening pieces 17, 17 formed between the wire crimp parts 15 and the wire lifting piece 16. The wire lifting piece 16 is bent to extend while facing to a bottom plate part 12 by directing its tip part toward the other side of the side plate parts 13, 13. When the covered wire 60 crimped to the wire crimp blades 14, 14, 14, 14 is fastened by the wire fastening pieces 17, 17, the wire lifting piece 16 is bent by the covered wire 60 to displace its tip part toward the bottom plate part 12.
