PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a soft contact lens of a comfortable long-time wearing type having water-holding capacity, flexibility, appropriate crosslinking density, and the mechanical strength and optical properties necessary for the conventional soft contact lens, and in addition, having a dangling chain as well. SOLUTION: The structure includes a water-holding and hydrophilic acrylate compound having a multiple pendant hydroxyl group, a flexible bifunctional acrylate crosslinking agent, a flexible long chain monofunctional group acrylate monomer, and HEMA.
