PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum authentication apparatus required for preventing impersonation and leakage of information in a network adopting quantum communication. SOLUTION: A quantum sequence which cannot correctly be generated by an apparatus without any authentication key and correctly be measured by an apparatus without any authentication key is generated, transmitted, and received by using an authentication shared key and a random number generated by each session, and secure inter-authentication can be attained by collating results of the generation, transmission, and reception between a transmission apparatus and a reception apparatus through classical communication lines.
