PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly operate the measurement value of a background with an apparatus for measuring radiation such as an article monitor etc. SOLUTION: The net measurement value can be obtained by subtracting the background measurement value from the gross measurement value. At the operation of the background measurement value, j pieces of data back to the past are referred and the highest i pieces of data among them are eliminated.
