PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of preventing abnormal motion in taking out an ice tray of an automatic ice making device from a body side for cleaning and the like, with a simple constitution without needing a new component and additional work. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator provided with the automatic ice making device receiving water from a water supply tank disposed in a refrigerating space in the ice tray disposed in an ice making compartment, automatically detecting the completion of ice-making, and separating and storing the ice, the ice tray of an ice making unit composed of the ice tray 9 and a control device portion having an ice separation rotating mechanism portion 26a and a driving portion 27 for detecting ice storage amount, is attachable and detachable to the ice making unit, and a switch 32 is mounted to cut off power distribution to the ice separation rotating mechanism portion 26a when the ice tray is detached from the ice making unit, and to distribute the power when the ice tray is attached.
