PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair-treating agent for repairing hair cuticles and a hair-treating method using the same, and a hair-treating agent capable of imparting sufficient gloss to hair and a hair-treating method using the hair-treating agent. SOLUTION: The hair-treating agent comprises scaly titanium oxide. The average particle size of the scaly titanium oxide is 5-100μm. The scaly titanium oxide is mixed with an oil. Preferably, the oil is oleic acid. The content of the scaly titanium oxide is at most 1 mass%. Hair is treated with the hair-treating agent and scaly titanium oxide is applied to adhere to a damaged part of hair cuticles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
