PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically operate a corrugator so as not to cause the warpage or adhesion failure of sheets, in the control device of the corrugator and the control method of the corrugator. SOLUTION: In the corrugator 1 for manufacturing corrugated cardboard sheets 7 and 8 from paper sheets 3, 4 and 6, adjusting means 2 for adjusting a plurality of the adjusting elements of the corrugator 1 are controlled on the basis of the state data related to the running paper sheets 3, 4 and 6 or the corrugated cardboard sheets 7 and 8, and the control quantities of a plurality of the adjusting means are set always or at a predetermined cycle on the basis of the newest data acquired by a state data acquiring means so that the state related to the paper sheets or the corrugated cardboard sheets.
