<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow detection of an abnormality in a leak fuel system to appropriately respond to a case where there is any abnormality, in a pressure accumulating type fuel injection device. <P>SOLUTION: When external leakage of fuel occurs upstream of a temperature sensor 8 in an injection system leak pipe L1, since discharged fuel higher in temperature than outside air does not flow up to an installation position of the temperature sensor 8, a fuel temperature detected by the temperature sensor is decreased to a degree of the outside temperature. With a state where a steady operational status of the internal combustion engine is continued and when the temperature of the fuel in the injection system leak pipe L1 is decreased, it is estimated that the fuel has leaked out of the injection system leak pipe L1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
