<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication structure of a device for shifting forward/reverse gears, the lubrication structure which effectively supplies the lubricating oil flowing out from the open end of a ring gear to the inside diameter portion of the brake disk of a multi-disk type brake, and suppresses the increase of the dimension in the radial direction. <P>SOLUTION: A lubricating oil passage 45d is formed inside carriers 45, 46 in order to supply lubricating oil to a pinion 43. The brake hub 46a of the multi-disk type brake provided in the carrier 46 is arranged in the neighborhood of the open end of a ring gear 42 in the axial direction. The root diameter Dr of the ring gear 42 is set to be within the range from the root diameter Dh of the spline of the brake hub 46a to the root diameter Dd of the spline of the brake disk 50a of the multi-disk type brake. By this configuration, the lubricating oil flows out from the open end of the ring gear 42 after lubricating the pinion 43, and is introduced into the inside diameter portion of the brake disk 50a.
