PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the intrusion of a disturbance signal by the mistaken operation and unjust use of a subscriber. SOLUTION: A passive optical network system conducts bi-directional optical communications with a station device by a plurality of subscriber terminals. In the passive optical network system, a disassembly is detected and a disassembly detecting signal is generated when a specific subscriber terminal is disassembled. In the passive optical network system, a transmission light from an optical transmitter for the specific subscriber terminal to a transmission-line optical fiber is stopped while using the disassembly detecting signal as a starting point.
