PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to specify an ink tank by directly corresponding with a liquid container when the user specifies the ink tank by a display and to realize the display with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An illuminant 21 corresponding to an ink tank 100 which detects the condition of "with no ink" is lighted. Thereby, the light emitted from the illuminant 21 passes through an optical path 10 prepared in a lever 2, reaches a lever operating portion 3, and makes the neighborhood of the lever operating portion 3 emit the light. Thus, the lever operating portion 3 itself of the ink tank 100 which should be exchanged emits light, thereby the user on only first glance, can judge which ink tank 100 should be exchanged. In addition, the display which specifies such an ink tank can be carried out using a part of the members which compose the ink tank, thereby the configuration for the judgment can be realized with the simple configuration.
