PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus which is equipped with a recording liquid cartridge improving handleability and expanding the range of a choice of storage capacities. SOLUTION: An opening 123 is formed in the cartridge case 102 of an ink cartridge 10 in such a manner as to correspond to an ink supply port part 131 of an ink bag 103 housed inside. Additionally, an annular protrusion 123a, which is protruded to a front side with respect to an outer surface 102a of the periphery of the opening 123, is formed around the opening 123. Thus, an outermost end surface 123b of the opening 123 is positioned on a relative outside with respect to a leading end surface 131a of the port part 131 of the ink bag 103.
