PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for error notification, which automatically examine a computer when the computer starts up. SOLUTION: A personal computer includes a BIOS having one post module and an error notification module, a display module, and a display control module. The error notification method for the personal computer includes a step for determining whether or not there are any errors in the personal computer through the post module, a step where the error notification module generates error codes and display commands based on the determination result, and a step where the display control module displays error types according to the error codes and the display commands.
