PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system which reduces performance loads due to operation of a program which acquires performance information on a computer system, especially a storage system. SOLUTION: A corresponding relationship between a host computer and a logical area which is used by the host computer concerned is prepared. A performance information collection method is provided with; a first step in which a control part acquires performance information on a storage system; a second step in which the control part transmits the acquired performance information to the host computer contained in the corresponding relationship of which load is lower than a prescribed threshold; a third step in which the host computer transmits the performance information transmitted from the control part to a management computer; and a fourth step in which the management computer collects the transmitted performance information.
