PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system capable of preventing a client from decreasing access performance to a file system, even if the file system is moved among a plurality of file servers. SOLUTION: The storage system provides a client accessing the file system with a shared file system having the same name space. A memory 14 is provided with the file system, a first information table, in which the correspondence relation between a file system and a file server with the file system mounted, is stored and a second information table in which the correspondence relation between a file system and the frequency that the client has accessed the file system.
