PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money handling apparatus capable of maintaining its waterproof function while being inexpensive, without sacrificing its operability. SOLUTION: The money handling apparatus for accepting bills and coins is characterized in that its layout prevents water droplets from the top surface of the apparatus from entering using a bill slot and a reject slot which are positioned on a vertical face, and an operating panel part positioned on a visor at the top. The upper portion of the apparatus is flat in structure and filled with a reinforcement member or the like so that objects can be placed on the top, whereby its load resistance is increased.
