PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light quantity controller with few possibilities of the deformation, such as distortions of a blade member for controlling the light quantity, even in a high-temperature apparatus environment such as a projector apparatus, and wherein the support structure for controlling and supporting the blade member so that the blade member can reciprocate linearly, can be made simple and made compact, especially the dimension of the blade member itself in the width direction orthogonal to the moving direction can be reduced, and to provide the projector apparatus equipped with the light quantity controller. SOLUTION: A flat plate-like substrate with an optical path aperture is formed, and at least one blade member for opening/closing the optical path aperture and a driving means for driving the blade member to be opened/closed are installed on the substrate. Regarding the blade guiding means which supports the blade member so that the blade member can reciprocate, the blade guiding means comprises side-edge guide surfaces formed on both side-end faces of the substrate along the linear moving direction of the blade member and a bent engagement piece formed on each or one side edge of the blade member. The bent engagement piece of the blade member is engaged with the side-edge guide surface, and also, the blade member is supported by a pressure plate so that it can freely slide on the substrate. The blade member is formed, by bending each side edge of a thin plate, such as a metal plate in a hook shape, and the end face of the blade member is abutted on and engaged with the side-edge guide surface formed on the side end of the substrate, consequently, the blade member reciprocates linearly, while being guided by the side-edge guide surface of the substrate.
