PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening device for the wet screening of a paper fiber suspension, having a simple structure and containing a screen surely and simply fixed in the device. SOLUTION: A screen plate 1 is separably fixed to an outer supporting ring 6 and an inner supporting ring 4, and is brought into contact with at least one supporting element 5 placed between the inner supporting ring 4 and the outer supporting ring 6 in radial direction. The screen plate applies pressing force to at least one supporting element 5 based on the elastic preload of the plate and applies pulling force to the inner supporting ring 4 and the outer supporting ring 6.
