Task To provide a projector using a light source device that is rapidly turned on and emit light with high energy efficiency. Means for Resolution Microwaves having different phases are radiated from antennas to three branched light emitting areas in an electrodeless lamp. Light emitted from the three light emitting areas are radiated from one light radiating area of the electrodeless lamp. The microwaves having the maximum amplitude and a plurality of phases are sequentially radiated onto the three light emitting areas, which makes it possible for the electrodeless lamp 1 to emit light with high energy efficiency.
