<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and compactly prevent color registration slippage generated when a cleaning roller advances to a transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus transfers images formed on a photoreceptor drum 12 to a recording medium by an intermediate transfer belt 14 rotated in a state where it is brought into contact with the photoreceptor drum 12, and cleans a residual component remaining on the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 14 in a state where it is brought into contact with the intermediate transfer belt 14 after transfer images are transferred to the recording medium from the intermediate transfer belt 14 by a cleaning roller 16 provided contactably/separably to/from the intermediate transfer belt 14. The image forming apparatus detects a rotation speed of a PR motor 60a rotating the photoreceptor drum 12 and controls a cleaning motor 60b so that the cleaning motor 60b rotates the cleaning roller 16 at a rotation speed in response to the detected rotation speed when the cleaning roller 16 is brought into contact with the intermediate transfer belt 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
