PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction separation method facilitating synthesis/handling of an extractant and a higher separation factor, in comparison with the conventional extractants for extraction and separation of actinoids and rare earth elements from high-level radioactive waste liquid by means of the extractant. SOLUTION: In a first extraction separation method, minor actinoids are selectively extracted and separated from water solution, in which the minor actinoids and the rare earth elements coexist, by using dioctylammonium dioctyldithiocarbamate (DOA<SP>+</SP>-DODTC<SP>-</SP>) as the extractant. In a second extraction separation method, the minor actinoids are selectively extracted and separated from the water solution, in which the minor actinoids and the rare earth elements coexist, by means of in-situ extractant generation extraction by using an extraction solvent, carbon disulfide and dioctylamine (DOA).
