An outdoor unit of an air conditioner which is formed in such a structure that the interior of a roughly rectangular parallelepiped box-shaped case is divided into a blower compartment and a machine compartment by a vertically extending partition plate. The outdoor unit simultaneously achieves both suppression in an increase in airflow resistance in the blower compartment and good on-site workability. An electrical parts assembly (7) comprises various electric parts including a control substrate (91) on which operation control elements are mounted and an inverter control element (92). The electrical parts assembly further has a skeleton (71) that, when installed in the unit casing (2), is positioned such that the substrate surface of the control substrate (91) is along the partition plate (28) and is tilted relative to the front face of the unit casing (2).
