The invention relates to a highly sulfate-resistant Portland cement having a useful life of up to 70 years in normal service conditions, which allows light to pass therethrough even after being set, the cement obtaining 70% of the final resistance thereof after 48 hours of being set. The Portland cement is characterised in that it has a fineness higher than 3450 cm2/g, and a mechanical resistance of about 75 MPa to about 50 MPa without any additive for reducing the amount of water required to obtain a predetermined slump. The purpose of the present invention is to protect chemical technology useful for manufacturing Portland cement, thus not only regarding quarry mechanical problems, materials, machinery projects, or energy or fuel savings.
