PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chargeable electronic timepiece and its controlling method capable of preventing the generation of overcharged state in a charging means 2, exactly detecting the charged voltage of the charging means 2 and informing. SOLUTION: The chargeable electronic timepiece 100 functions with a power source device 20 consisting of an electric generation means 1 and a charging means 2 and comprises an information generation means 19 and an indication means 12 for indicating information from the information generation means 19. The chargeable electronic timepiece 100 is provided with a charging state detection means 6 for detecting the charging state of the charging means 2, a charge regulation means 15 for regulating the charging from the generation means 1 to the charging means 2 and a charging state informing means 8 for informing the charging state of the charging means 2 based on the detection signal of the a charging state detection means 6, and constituted so that the charging state detection means 6 functions the charge regulation means 15 while the charging state of the charging means 2 is functioning for detection. |
