<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair capable of allowing a physically disabled person himself or herself or a caring person having no special knowledge to normally do stretching exercises at home, which is effective for preventing a contracture or talipes equinus in a paralytic leg joint and recovering a motion function. <P>SOLUTION: The chair having a seat where a user is seated and footrests on which the feet of the user seated on the seat are put includes a driving means for driving the footrests so as to allow the feet put on the footrests to perform the dorsiflexion exercise of a sole. Specifically, the footrests are pivotally attached to chair frames at a middle part between the base part and distal end part of each footrest, so that the driving means vertically moves the base part of the footrest and rotates the footrest around a spindle.
